| Genelia D'souza Celebrates Christmas - Exclusive Photos Posted: 25 Dec 2009 08:41 AM PST If Santa Claus had visited Genelia's new home in Bandra west last night, the patron saint of Christmas might not have left the place… for the Bollywood hottie is looking as festive as the season. A huge star lights up the balcony while a Christmas tree that she lugged down from South Africa, dances with fairy lights. There's also a crib with a tiny infant Jesus. All signs that Christmas is in the air. And, it is, for this is the only holiday the young and perky actress can spend with her family. "Life has been hectic and I've been shooting back-to-back outdoors," Genelia said. "But Santa heard my prayer and brought me home in time for Christmas. Right since childhood, I haven't missed out on a single midnight mass with my folks. And last night, we offered our prayers at St Peter's and St Anne's Church in Bandra." On a break since her next film, Chance Pe Dance with Shahid Kapoor, is slated for release in January, Genelia can afford to indulge in all the Christmas goodies her mother has prepared at home. "There's heavenly guava cheese, kalkals and marzipan. I couldn't care less about my diet and I am going to just hog and indulge the lil girl in me," said the dimpled actress who has a mouth full of sweet tooths. She has fond memories of Christmases gone by when her mother would make Genelia and her brother list out all the mischief they had been upto in the year for Santa to read. "But all wrong doings were forgiven and in the morning we'd have a surprise hanging in our Christmas stocking. I used to get so excited about this yearly ritual. Innocently, we also left milk and cookies the night before for Santa hoping his gifts for us would be nicer," said the actress. When she grew up and learned the truth about Santa Claus, her mother explained the true meaning of Christmas to Genelia. "It's about spreading cheer and making a positive difference in others' lives, peace on earth and goodwill to man," she said. At heart, a simple Bandra Catholic girl, Genelia wishes Mumbai is blessed with peace and happiness in the coming year. "And also that people will love and accept me with open hearts for my work in my new film," she added with a shy laugh Genelia D'souza went Christmas shopping at a Mumbai store decorated for the festive season Genelia D'souza Celebrates Christmas
